Question 768034: ]Determine the general form of the equation of the line that passes through the point (2, 1) and has a slope of –2

Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Using the equation:
y - b = m(x - a)
a = 2, b = 1 and m = -2
y - 1 = -2(x - 2)
y - 1 = -2x + 4
y = -2x + 4 + 1
y = -2x + 5
Hope this helps.
