Find the slope of any line perpendicular to the line through points (9, 12) and (10, 4).
The slope between these two points is -8, however, they are asking for the slope of any line perpendicular to the lines containing those two points.
The slope formula is:
, m=slope, (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are given points.
(x1,y1)=(9,12) and (x2,y2)=(10,4)
The slope of any line perpendicular to this line would be it's negative reciprocal. That means you have to change the sign and flip it over.
