Question 763155: Verify that -3 and 4 are the zeroes of the cubic polynomial p(x)= x^3-3x^2-10x+24. Also verify the relationship between the zeroes and the coefficient.

Using x=-3 or x=4 would each make p(x)=0 if those are the "zeros" of the function. Just substitute into the polynomial and compute the result. Either p is 0 or it is not 0.

Any relationship between the coefficient (which one) and the zeros would not be expected. You may need to explain what you mean in the second part. Are you trying to understand something like this:
?

You might like to divide p(x) by and see what the last zero of p(x) is; but still not sure how this helps to see any relation between zeros and any coefficient.
