Question 760005: hi so I have this question im stuck on I have to write an equation for a perpendicular slope
3,-5 2x+5y=6
so I changed it into y= 2x/5 + 6/5 then I got the reciprocal which is 5/2 then I put it into this formula y-y1=m(x-x1)
so then I got y-(-5)=5/2(x-3)
so now this is where I get stuck I cant figure out the distbutive property part after I get 5/2 im not sure how to multiply 5/2 * 3 if you could help me figure this part be a big help

( 3, -5 )

The slope of a perpendicular will be

Multiply both sides by

check:
Does it go through ( 3, -5 ) ?

OK
