Breadth = x
Length = x + 5
Perimeter = 2*width + 2*length
70m = 2(x) + 2(x + 5)
70m = 2x + 2x + 10
70m = 4x + 10
Collect like terms.
Remember to change signs as you cross the =
70m - 10 = 4x
4x = 60
x = 15m
Breadth = 15m Length = 20m.
