Great start!
You have 8y = 16 - 5x
Then you want eliminate "8" on the left side by dividing both sides by 8:
8y/8 = 16/8 - (5/8)x
y = 2 - (5/8)x
You know the slope-intercept formula is y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
You can find them from the equation y = (-5/8)x + 2.
