7x+3y=24
-7x
3y=24-7x
/3
y=8-(7/3)x

y=-(7/3)x+8

It does not need to be that exact equation. You could do the same to ANY linear equation in standard form.

. This IS slope-intercept form for the example equation in standard form. 'm' is slope, and 'b' is for y-intercept.

*Conventional Understanding about variables in "algebra" is that lower-case and upper case of a letter are DIFFERENT variables. , , etc.
