L has y-intercept (0, -3) and is parallel to the line with equation y = 2/3x
Parallel lines have the same slopes.
The slope intercept form of a line is: , where m=slope and (0,b) = y-inyetercept.
The line they gave us is: y=2/3x
Its slope is m=2/3, so any line parallel to this one will also have a slope of m=2/3.
Therefore our line has a slope, m=2/3 and a y-intercept, (0,b)=(0,-3)
Plug them into y=mx+b and you have:
