Question 728905: Please help. I am supposed to write the equation in slope-intercept form and I am given the slope as m=-2 and x-intercept of -3. I know the format is y=mx+b but where does the x-intercept go in the equation, and what is the equation? Thanks for your help!
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x intercept = -3
the co-ordinates (-3,0)
slope =-2
equation in slope intercept form
(y-y1)=m(x-x1)
(y-0)=-2(x-(-3))
y=2(x+3)
y=2x+6
