You can put this solution on YOUR website! -5X-8Y=15
-8Y=5X+15
Y=5X/-8+15/-8
Y=-5X/8-15/8 IF THIS IS THE LINE FORMULA & IT HAS A SLOPE (m) OF (-5/8) GOES THROUGH (-3,0) THEN WE NEED TO SOLVE FOR THE Y INTERCEPT (b) IN THE LINE FORMULA Y=mX+b BY REPLACING THE X & Y TERMS BY (-3,0)
0=-5/8*-3+b
0=15/8+b
b=-15/8 THUS THE FORMULA IS
Y=-5X/8-15/8
