3)Find the equation of the line with Slope = 8 and passing through (5,42). Write your equation in the form y=mx+b.

The general equation of the line when co-ordinates of two points are given is

-10 y- 30 = 5 x -25

-10 y= 5 x+ 5
/ -10
y= - 1/ 2 x - 1/ 2

Point slope form of equation
y-y1=m(x-x1)
y-42=8(x-5)
y-42=8x-40
y=8x+2
