Simplify:
Multiply every exponent inside the first set of parentheses by the exponent (2) outside the parentheses.
Now, add the exponents on ths a's and add the exponents on the b's.
Simplify the exponents. Recall: a^1 = a and b^1 = b
The answer is: ab
