solve 15x^2 + 26x + 8 = 0
Start by factoring 15 and 8
(5x + 4)(3x + 2)
FOIL this, does (5*2)+(4*3) = 26, no; then try
(5x + 2)(3x + 4)
FOIL again, (5*4)+(2*3) does in fact, add up 26
(5x + 2)(3x + 4) = 0
5x = -2
x = -2/5
and
3x = 4
x = -4/3
