Question 695117: Slope 7/9 contains the point (9,5). Find equation of the line then graph.
Answer by Ave(106)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Point slope form; m=7/9, (9,5)
y-5=7/9(x-9) multiply both sides by 9 to get rid of fraction
9y-45=7(x-9)
9y-45=7x-63 add 45 to both sides
9y=7x-18 divide by 9
<--slope intercept form.
y-intercept is (0,-2)
x-intercept is 0=7x-18, 7x=18, x=18/7 (18/7,0)
