Question 691614: The slope of a line is 2 and the y-intercept is 4. What is the x-intercept?
Answer by josmiceli(19441)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
By visualizing, I know if the y-intercept is on the positive y-axis,
and the slope is positive, then the x-intercept is on the
negative x-axis.
-----------------
The slope is ( change in y ) / ( change in x )
The intercepts are (0,4) and (x[1], 0)

The x-intercept is (-2,0)
