Okay. At 8:00 am you have 41 degrees. The day goes by, and at 1:00pm, you have 61 degrees.
The degree difference is 20 degrees.
Now, how many hours occur from 8:00am to 1:00pm?
Let's count:
1. 8:00
2. 9:00
3. 10:00
4. 11:00
5. 12:00
So 5 hours.
Now, you have 20 degrees over five hours, and you need to find how much it changed per hour.
So we just divide the number of degrees by the number of hours.
And 4 is your answer. =)
