Question 676915: Find the equation of the line with slope 7 containing (-2,1) in both point-slope form and slope-intercept form. How do I explain myself on how I got my answer
Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use the point slope formula
y-y1=m(x-x1)
...
Plug in values
(x1,y1) is (-2,1)
m is 7
y - 1 = 7(x--2)
Distribute the 7
y - 1 = 7x + 7(2)
y-1 = 7x + 14
Isolate y
y = 7x + 14 + 1
