slope m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
( -7 - 9 )/( -7 - -2 )
( -16 / -5 )
m= 16/5
The required line passes through both the points. So we select one point and plug it with the slope
Plug value of the slope and point (-2 ,9 ) in
Y = m x + b
9.00 = 16/5 * -2 + b
9.00 = -32/5 + b
b= 9 + 32/5
b= 77/ 5
So the equation will be
Y = 16/5 x + 77/5
multiply equation by 5
5y=16x+77
16x-5y=-77
