: Write the equation of the line with slope -2 and y-intercept (0,0). Then graph the line. The equations I have are:
a)y = -2x
b) y = -2x
c)y = x - 2
d)y = x-2
Thanks for any assistance you could give for this problem. Thanks. This question is from textbook Beginning Algebra
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Write the equation of the line with slope -2 and y-intercept (0,0). Then graph the line. The equations I have are:
a)y = -2x
b) y = -2x
c)y = x - 2
d)y = x-2
The slope intercept form of a line is, , where m=slope and (0,b)=y-intercept
Your m=-2 and (0,b)=(0,0) that's (a) and (b) on your multiple choices.
(Why are a and b the same? Why are c and d the same?)
Happy Calculating!!!
