Appreciate any assistance that can be provided in working these problems:
1. Graph 5x + 2y = 4.......2y=4-5x........y=(4-5x)/2
give any value to x , find x tabulate as below and plot the graph.
x=...........0...........2.............4..............etc
y=(4-5x)/2...2...........-3............-8.............etc
2. How to find the intercepts of the line 2x - 3y = 6
put x =0 and find y for y intercept
we get ..........2*0-3y=6......-3y=6.....y=-6/3=-2 is the y intercept.
now put y=0 and find x for x intercept.
we get ........2x-3*0=6.......2x=6..x=6/2=3 is the x intercept
3. Write equation for line described below, giving the answer in slope-intercept form.
The line through P=(x1,y1)=(4, -1) with slope m=3/5
formula is
y-y1=m(x-x1)
y-(-1)=(3/5)(x-4)...
y=3x/5-(3*4/5)-1=(3x/5)-17/5=(3/5)x-17/5.....m=3/5.........y intercept=-17/5
