Factor 2(y - 3) - x(y - 3).
Lets compare the above problem with the following problem and see if we can recognize similarities:

Factor ca-ba Well, we can factor this and we will get a(c-b) --- the distributive law.
If we apply this concept to your problem, we will get:
2(y - 3) - x(y - 3)=(y-3)(2-x)
In other words, your problem is really no harder than my problem. It just looks harder.
