If x = 0, y = 1
If x = 2, y = 2

Plot (0,1) and (2,2) and draw a line thru them.

find x-intercept:
set f%28x%29=y=0
0=+%281%2F2%29x+%2B+1
-1=+%281%2F2%29x
-1%2A2=+%281%2A2%2F2%29x
-2=+x..........x-intercept is at (-2,0)...that is one point
find y-intercept:
set x=0
y=+%281%2F2%290+%2B+1
y=+1..........y-intercept is at (0,1)...that is second point
plot these two points and draw a line through
