y= 0, 2, 4,6,8,10,12

You want y=mx+b
You need to find "m" and "b"
b is the y-intercept; it is the y-value when x=0
In your chart y=6 when x=0.
So, b=6

m=change in y/change in x
when y goes from 6 to 8, x goes from 0 to 1
m=[8-6]/[1-0]=2

EQUATION:
y=2x+6

In order to find the equation of a line, you need a point and a slope. You have 7 points, but no slope.
Never fear, we can use two points to come up with a slope using the slope formula: , where m=slope and (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are given points.
Let (x1,y1)=(-3,0) and (x2,y2)=(-2,2)

Since one of the points we have is the y-intercept (0,6), and we now know the slope m=2, we can use the slope intercept form , where m=slope, and (0,b)=y-intercept, to find the equation of the line.
m=2 (0,b)=(0,6)
