Question 652322: 1. Which equation or function is linear?
(A)y=3/x+1
(B)2y=2x-1/4
(C)3xy=4

(B)!
Linear will never have an x in the denominator (like in (A)) or an x and a y multiplied by each other (like in (C)). If you were to solve (C) for y (so that you could graph it) you would get y = 4/3x (x in the denominator = nonlinear!)
