Find the equation of the line that passes through the point (7,-2) and is parallel to the line that passes through (-2,-2) and (3,3)
Parallel lines have equal slopes so if we find the slope between the give points we will have the slope of the line we're finding the equation of.
The slope formula is: , m=slope and (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are the given points.
(x1,y1)=(-2,-2) and (x2,y2)=(3,3)

m=1
Now that we have a slope, m=1 and a point (x1,y1)=(7,-2) we can use the point slope formula to find the equation of the line. , where m=slope and (x1,y1) is a point on the line.
