Question 646400: Please help me with this problem on one-step equations. Eight workers a hired to weed a field by hand.Each is given a plot which is 5x7 feet in size. What is the total area of the field? I tried mulitplying 5 by 7 and getting 35 and then trying to divide that by 8 like this:x*8= 35 But i don't know for sure if that is right. Thank you

No. EACH of the 8 workers gets a 5 by 7 plot. So EACH of the 8 workers has 35 square feet to weed. So you don't want to divide by 8, you want to ...
