Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
6 = (-2-1)/(x-1)
6 = (-3)/(x-1)
6(x-1) = -3
6x-6 = -3
6x = -3+6
6x = 3
x = 3/6
x = 1/2
