so far I did y-6=7/9(x+5)

You subtracted the 6, but added the 5
----
Use y = mx + b and the point to find b
6 = (7/9)*5 + b
b = 19/9
--> y = 7x/9 + 19/9
==================
Or, y-6 = (7/9)*(x - 5)
