Hi,
Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
Line with m = -2 and passing through Pt(2,-8)
Line
y = -2x + b
8 = -2·2 + b |Using ordered pair (x,y):(2,8) to solve for b
12 = b
y = -2x + 12
