Question 630563: solve each equation for y to obtain slope intercept form of the equation 2x+y=4 x-y=5 how do I do this
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have two separate problems.
You want just y on one side.
2x+y=4
subtract 2x from both sides
y=-2x+4
x-y=5
subtract x from both sides
-y=-x+5
-y=5-x
multiply by -1
y=-5+x
y=x-5
