Plot the graph of:
(9,3)
(3,-6)
rise/run = 9/6 = 3/2 = 1 1/2
The Slope is: 3/2 (or 1 1/2)
The other method:
(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = 3 - (-6) / 9 - 3
3 - (-6) = 3 + 6 = 9
9 - 3 = 6
Therefore:
9/6 = 3/2 = 1 1/2
The Slope is: 3/2 (1 1/2)
The Equation of the Line is:
y = 1 1/2x - 10 1/2
