Question 627130: A barrel contains 123 gallons of water and is being drained at a constant rate of 11 gallons per hr.
Write an equation that models the number of gallons, g, after t hours
The equation that models the given situation is_______
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You start with 123 gallons. After t hours, you've lost 11t gallons
So you're left with 123 - 11t gallons, which rearranges to -11t + 123
So the answer is g = -11t + 123
