When y intercepts x=0
-7(0)-8y=56
-8y=56
-8y/-8=56/-8
y=-7

When x intercepts y=0
-7x-8y=56
-7x-8(0)=56
-7x=56
-7x/-7=56/-7
x=-8
so
Points are (0,-7) and (-8,0)
Graph
======
-7x-8y=56
-8y=7x+56
-8y/-8=(7x+56)/-8
y=-7x/8-56/8
y=-7x/8-7
