Question 61973: what is the value of x in 8x+7=3x-33 and how did you get that answer?
Answer by jai_kos(139) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given 8x + 7 = 3x - 33
Get all the terms of "x" on one side and the numbers on the other side, we get
8x - 3x = - 33 -7
When you get one term to other side, the sign will change.
5x = - 40
Divide by 5, we get
x = -40 /5
x = -8
