Question 614939: could you please help me on this equatins ?
The point (6, 2) lies on the line -x – 8y = -22. Determine if this point is a solution of the system
-x – 8y = -22
-7x + 3y = -36

to determine if a point is a solution to a system of equations we just plug it in... inthe first equation we get -6-8(2)=-6-16=-22 and in the second one we get -7(6)+3(2)=-42+6=-36 so the final answer is yes because both equations check to be true
