You can put this solution on YOUR website!
how do i write the equation of the line with slope 4 and y-intercept (0, –5). Then graph the line.
The slope intercept form of a line is highlight%28y=mx%2Bb%29, m=slope, and (0,b)=y-intercept.
Your m=4 and b=-5
y=4x-5
To graph the line put a point on the y axis at -5.
From that point use the slope=rise/run=4/1. Go up 4 and right 1 plot another point. (This should be (1,-1) if you did it right.)
Connect the points and you have a line.
