Question 605062: The values for two linear equations are listed below. What is the solution to the system of equations represented by these data? Equation A: (2,5), (-4,-7), (5,11), (-1-1)
Equation B: (5,11), (-3,-13),(0,-4),(1,-1)

I think if I use the midpoint formula on two pairs of points for each equation and then I can use that to make 2 equations for this problem. Am I correct? If not, then I am completely lost. I have no idea how to find an equation using 4 points.

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Equation A: (2,5), (-4,-7), (5,11), (-1-1)
Equation B: (5,11), (-3,-13),(0,-4),(1,-1)
If you observe the points of both lines you find that points(5,11) is common to both both lines.
This means that it lies on both the lines. Hence (5,11) is the solution of the system
