Question 58699: Write the equation of the line that passes through point (–2, 3) with a slope of –4
Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Write the equation of the line that passes through point (–2, 3) with a slope of –4
There are two ways to do this, if your teacher is using a different method than mine let me know and I'll show you that method.
:
When given a point and a slope, I like to use the point slope formula:, where m=slope and (x1,y1) is the given point.
your m=-4 and (x1,y1)=(-2,3)
<--this is the slope intercept form of the equation of the line.
Happy Calculating!!!
