Find the equation of the line that contains the point (4,-2). and has slope 3/4.
:
mx + b = y
Replace m, x, y
(4) + b = -2
3 + b = - 2
b = - 2 - 3
b = -5

y = x - 5 is the equation

You can check this, replace x with 4, in the equation and see if y = -2
