What do you mean by "the answer"? isn't a question in and of itself. What is the question you have regarding ?

"What's the answer for f(x) = 4" is way too unclear. You should post something like "What value(s) of x satisfy f(x) = 4?" which makes more sense. You would still have to post enough information about f(x) because I don't know what function f(x) is.
