Question 57628: 3X - y = 0. help, thanks!
Answer by funmath(2933) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's plot a couple of points this time.
3X - y = 0
:
Let x=0 and solve for y
3(0)-y=0
0-y=0
-(-y)=-(0)
y=0
Plot (0,0)
:
Now let x=1 and solve for y
3(1)-y=0
3-y=0
-3+3-y=-3+0
-y=-3
-(-y)=-(-3)
y=3
Plot (1,3)
:
Plot as many points as your teacher requires, you only need two points to make a line though. If you connect the two points we came up with you have a line that looks like:
Happy Calculating!!!
