1 x + 8 y = 6 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 1
Multiply (2) by -1
1 x 8 y = 4
-1 x -8 y = -6
Add the two equations
0 x = -2
this is absurd
the system has no solution.
The lines are parallel since they have the same slope with different y intercepts
