Question 545741: write the equation in slope intercept form
2x-3y-6=0

Answer by neatmath(302)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

To write any LINEAR equation in slope-intercept form,

you need only to solve for y!

given

added 3y to both sides

subtracted 6 from both sides

divided both sides by 3

which is what we need

It is now in the slope-intercept form

So from our new equation, we know:

slope is m which equals 2/3

y-intercept is b which is -2, or the point (0,-2)

I hope this helps! :)
