Question 543584: Given the linear equation y= 3/4x-2 , find the y-coordinates of the points (-8, ), (-4, ), and (4, ). Plot those points and graph the linear equation.
i took 3/4 and times it by ( -8) and - the 2 and got -8 i didnt know if i was doing it correctly and if so how do i plot them on a graph because i dont get where x is thanks for helping me so much
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
yes, you are doing it correctly
the x is measured along the horizontal axis and the y is measured along the vertical axis
where the two axes cross is the origin (0,0)
positive x is to the right and positive y is up
