2)Write the slope-intercept equation for the line that passes thru (-3,-15) and is perpendicular to -6x+8y=3

1)Write the slope-intercept equation for the line that passes thru (-12,10) and is perpendicular to 4x+6y=3

Find the slope, m, of 4x+6y = 3
To do that solve for y
y = (-2/3)x + 1/2
m = the coeff of x, = -2/3
----------
The slope of lines perpendicular is the negative inverse, = 3/2
Use y = mx + b and the point to find b
10 = (3/2)*-12 + b
b = 28
---------
Eqn is y = (3/2)x + 28
----------------------
Do #2 the same way.
