6(y/6) = 6(y + 5)
y - 6y = 6y + 30
+ 6y 6y
------------------
1y = 12y + 30
-1y -1y
------------------
0 = 11y + 30

Solve:
Multiply both side by 6.
Simplify.
The 6's on the left side cancel, leaving just y. Subtract 30 from both sides of the equation.
Subtract y from both sides.
Divide both sides by 5.
