Question 519822: define the slope of 15x+6y=0. I am stuck on this. I am getting -15x/6 but my checker is saying its wrong
Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Well, you're close...
.
define the slope of 15x+6y=0
first put it in "slope-intercept" form:
y = mx + b:
.
15x+6y=0
6y= -15x + 0
y= (-15/6)x
slope is -15/6 (without the x)
And, you can reduce the fraction:
slope is -15/6 = -5/2
.
Answer: -5/2
