The slopes of Perpendicular lines are the negative reciprocal of each other.
If the line is perpendicular to: y = 2x -1 then the slope would be -1/2
Using the point-slope formula:
Slope: -1/2 and point: (2,-3) ..note point is represented as (x1,y1)
y-y1 =m(x-x1)
y –(-3) = -1/2(x-2)
y+3 = -1/2x + 1
y+3-3 = -1/2x +1-3
y = -1/2 -2
