How do I find the slope when the x-intercepts are exactly the same?
For example my give points are: (-4,3) and (-4,5)
**
slope=∆y/∆x=rise/run=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)=(5-3)/(-4-(-4))=2/0=undefined
What you have here is a vertical line, x=-4. By definition, the slope of a vertical line is undefined.
