Given line
y - 2x + 5 = 0 and point (-2,-2)
Rearrange the equation
y - 2x + 5 = 0
y=2x-5
Slope of the given line = 2
Since lines are parallel their slopes will be same
slope of the required will be = 2
Now we have a point and slope we can put the values in point-slope form of the equation to find the required line
y2-y1/x2-x1=m
-2-y/-2-x=2
-2-y=(-2-x)2
-2-y=-4-2x
-(2+y)=-(4+2x)
2+y=4+2x
y=4+2x-2
y=2x-2
Above equation is the required equation of the line in slope-intercept form (y=mx+b)
